Born and raised in a small town in Southern British Columbia, surrounded by nature, mountains, and the ocean.

I graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. My professional career began at a private college as an offline marketing coordinator. This job helped me learn about everything to do with traditional marketing: event planning, radio ads, copywriting, billboards, bus ads, you name it, I would do it. I even got to dabble in design by resizing newspaper ads for various newspapers we advertised in.

After this, I was ready for more. I enrolled in a short 3-month program to learn the technical side of online marketing and quickly discovered that some of my favourite things to do were email marketing and landing page design. A perfect mix of creativity and technical skills.

When I landed my role with SPUD.ca, I was able to focus on email marketing which was a new challenge. As a former generalist, focusing on a single aspect of marketing allowed me to really develop those skills. At this time I also started freelancing on the side, managing websites, social media, and email marketing for a small business in BC.

In March of 2018, I moved to Berlin, Germany and I saw it as a chance to pursue something different. My love for marketing had begun to fade after almost 8 years in the industry. I had the opportunity at SPUD to work on a few small UX-related tasks and I knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I enrolled in a program to learn the basics.

Since being in Berlin I have had the opportunity to travel a lot (18 countries!), complete my German Integration Course by achieving my B1 German language certificate along with the Leben in Deutschland course, and complete that intensive User Experience Design program.

I've been working as a Freelance UX Designer ever since. For the past 3 years, I’ve been working together with a team of designers at an agency to help create well-thought-out and intuitive designs that help our client’s products accomplish their goals in the competitive tech industry here in Berlin.

I’m always looking for more interesting projects. If you think we’re a match, please reach out.
